Duelpilot vs pagent

An AI "experiment engineer" that turns ideas into on-brand variations and runs A/B and personalization tests, with a broad MCP server, for CRO and experimentation teams. Duelpilot is A/B testing run by your own AI agent over MCP, with a person approving every launch. Both can be used by an AI agent over MCP. The biggest difference is who launches: in pagent an agent can start tests itself, in Duelpilot a person approves (or an owner's autopilot policy, within guardrails). pagent doesn't publish its prices; Duelpilot is a flat, published price per site, with your first test free on every plan.

Yes

Remote MCP server with 48 tools; OAuth for claude.ai and ChatGPT, bearer token elsewhere.

Yes

app.pagent.ai/api/mcp, Streamable HTTP with OAuth or a personal token; works with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and others.

source

Your own agent designs variants
Yes

Your agent designs 2–4 variants per idea, each with a preview and a device check.

source

Yes

The agent can capture a hypothesis, turn it into a test and work with pages, audiences and conversion goals.

source

An agent can launch tests without a person
No

A person approves every launch; an owner can switch on an autopilot policy with guardrails, never an agent.

source

Yes

With write scope granted at OAuth the agent can start, pause, stop, roll back and mark winners shipped; pagent adds no second confirmation and relies on the client's confirmation setting.

Yes

One script tag; works with React/Next.js, Vue, Astro, SPAs and strict CSP.

What pagent does well

  • Broad MCP: read results, capture hypotheses, build and start tests, manage audiences, goals, personas and guidelines (pagent.ai/docs/guides/mcp).
  • Review by email without a login, or autopilot for the full cycle (pagent.ai).
  • Layout-level, real-code variations delivered through one script tag, checked on desktop and mobile (pagent.ai).

What Duelpilot does well

  • Your own agent does the research, design, checks and monitoring over MCP (48 tools); no AI bill from Duelpilot.
  • A person approves every launch: no MCP tool can approve, launch, pick a winner or ship.
  • Always-valid sequential statistics (mSPRT) with Holm correction, sample-ratio-mismatch checks and guardrail metrics.
  • Every variant gets a preview link and a site check on phone, tablet and desktop before anyone can approve it.
  • Flat price per site, published, from €9/month, and your first test is free on every plan; no visitor meters.

Where Duelpilot falls short

  • You need an AI agent that speaks MCP; without one there is no visual editor to build variants by hand.
  • No heatmaps or session recordings: Duelpilot counts results and sends variants to your own analytics.
  • A young product (2026): fewer integrations and a shorter track record than established tools.

Which one should you choose?

Choose pagent if…

Choose pagent if you want a vendor AI that builds complex real-code variations and personalizations for you, and you are happy for agents to start and stop tests once you grant write access.

pagent website

Choose Duelpilot if…

Choose Duelpilot if you want a published price (€9, €49, €149 or €199 per month, flat per site, first test free), no task allowances, and a hard rule that no agent can approve, launch or ship a test; only a person or an owner's autopilot policy can.

How Duelpilot works

Try Duelpilot with your own agent

Give your agent one line: set up Duelpilot for my site using /agents.md. It opens a workspace, installs and verifies the script, and drafts the first test; you approve what goes live. Try your first test free or see pricing.

Questions

Can an agent start a pagent test?

Yes, if you grant write permissions during OAuth. pagent's docs say it adds no second confirmation and advise keeping write confirmation on in your AI client. In Duelpilot no MCP tool can launch a test.

How is pagent priced?

By monthly unique users, as a quote; the license includes a monthly allowance of agentic tasks with optional top-up packs (checked 17 Oct 2026). Duelpilot publishes flat prices per site and sells no AI tasks.

Is pagent only for webshops?

Its site addresses CRO and experimentation teams in general; customer examples include e-commerce and hospitality.

Which statistics does pagent use?

pagent reports Bayesian results. Duelpilot uses an always-valid sequential test (mSPRT) with Holm correction, SRM checks and guardrails, so results stay valid when you look every day.
