Duelpilot vs GrowthBook
Open-source feature flags and warehouse-native A/B testing, self-hosted or cloud, for product, engineering and data teams. Duelpilot is A/B testing run by your own AI agent over MCP, with a person approving every launch. Both can be used by an AI agent over MCP. The biggest difference is who launches: in GrowthBook an agent can start tests itself, in Duelpilot a person approves (or an owner's autopilot policy, within guardrails). GrowthBook is priced per seat; Duelpilot is flat per site, without AI credits.

Pricing
Duelpilot
Pricing: flat per site
Starter €9/month (€7 billed yearly); Pro €49/month (€39 billed yearly); Team €149/month (€119 billed yearly, 5 sites); Code €199/month (€159 billed yearly, 5 sites); Enterprise on request. No free plan; the first test is free on every plan.
GrowthBook
Pricing: per seat
Starter: Free, no credit card required (up to 3 users, 1 project); Pro: $40 / seat / month (up to 30 users); Enterprise: Custom. Open source self-hosting free.
Prices as published by each vendor on the date checked, excluding VAT. Duelpilot has no visitor meters and no AI credits: the AI runs in your own agent's subscription.
What GrowthBook does well
- Open source and self-hostable; unlimited flags, experiments and traffic on every tier (growthbook.io/pricing).
- Warehouse-native: analyses run on your own data warehouse (growthbook.io).
- Bayesian or frequentist engine with CUPED; sequential testing on the frequentist engine (docs.growthbook.io/statistics/overview).
- Hosted MCP server with OAuth, or local via npm/Docker (docs.growthbook.io/integrations/mcp).
What Duelpilot does well
- Your own agent does the research, design, checks and monitoring over MCP (48 tools); no AI bill from Duelpilot.
- A person approves every launch: no MCP tool can approve, launch, pick a winner or ship.
- Always-valid sequential statistics (mSPRT) with Holm correction, sample-ratio-mismatch checks and guardrail metrics.
- Every variant gets a preview link and a site check on phone, tablet and desktop before anyone can approve it.
- Flat price per site, published, from €9/month, and your first test is free on every plan; no visitor meters.
Where Duelpilot falls short
- You need an AI agent that speaks MCP; without one there is no visual editor to build variants by hand.
- No heatmaps or session recordings: Duelpilot counts results and sends variants to your own analytics.
- A young product (2026): fewer integrations and a shorter track record than established tools.
Which one should you choose?
Choose GrowthBook if…
Choose GrowthBook if you have engineers and a data warehouse and want open-source feature flags and experiments you can self-host, analysed on your own data.
Choose Duelpilot if…
Choose Duelpilot if you want visual tests on any website without SDK work or a data team, with your own agent doing research, design and real-browser site checks, at a flat price per site rather than per seat.
Try Duelpilot with your own agent
Give your agent one line: set up Duelpilot for my site using /agents.md. It opens a workspace, installs and verifies the script, and drafts the first test; you approve what goes live. Try your first test free or see pricing.
Questions
Is GrowthBook a better fit for feature flags?
Yes. GrowthBook is a feature-flag and experimentation platform first, open source and warehouse-native. Duelpilot's flags exist only for code tests on its Code plan.
Can an agent launch GrowthBook experiments?
GrowthBook's MCP exposes the REST API, so an agent with a write key can, unless you set the key to require confirmation. In Duelpilot no agent can launch or ship.
Does GrowthBook have a visual editor?
Yes, on Pro and Enterprise, as a Chrome extension; tests are delivered by one of GrowthBook's SDKs, including a script tag. Duelpilot's visual tests are on every plan, from Starter at €9/month.
Which is cheaper?
GrowthBook Starter is free for up to 3 users and Pro is $40 per seat per month. Duelpilot is €9, €49, €149 or €199 per month flat per site, with unlimited team members on Team and the first test free.
